Governor's telegram No.437 to Colonial Office 1st May which you should see if possible raised questions of admission of liability in connection with requisitioning of certain vessels where responsibility for compensation not clear. Understand you have already been approached to co-operate in investigation of claims. Matter has been discussed here inter departmentally and you will see from Colonial Office reply Telegram 533 of 10th May that local representatives of U.K. Departments concerned are to examine further and report on liabilities arising from claims in questions in light of reply telegram quoted.
